Morgan Tencza is a senior at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut where she is studying communications and working on a double minor in sports studies and public relations. Her goal is to work in the sports media industry after graduation, specifically in the soccer world.
Morgan is currently a contributing photographer for The Brotherly Game, covering the Philadelphia Union and US soccer. She also shoots for the Philadelphia Union during various events and often fulfills the role of head photographer for their USL Championship affiliate, Union II.
Morgan spent the spring 2020 semester as the Digital Video Intern at NBC Sports Group in Stamford, Conn. She cliped highlights of the Premier League, NHL, PGA, NASCAR, and more. Her highlight videos were put on to the NBC Sports website as well as the YouTube channel.
Since she was a second-semester freshman, Morgan has held the title of Photography Editor for Quinnipiac’s newspaper, The Chronicle. Her role responsibilities include photographing various events and sports, as well as oversee the scheduling of the other photographers of the organization. She has been able to cover events such as the school’s Wake the Giant concerts, MAAC and NCAA tournaments, and the Frozen Four.
Morgan spent summer 2019 with the Philadelphia Union as their Digital Marketing and Communications Intern. During her time with the team, she was able to learn new skills daily as a fully recognized member of the front office. The highlights of her summer with the team included being the team photographer for the 5-1 win over rival DC United in the country’s capital, as well as covering the MLS All-Star game in Orlando for both the Union and The Cooligans, a popular soccer podcast.
